Altar Archives is a somatic research studio working at the intersection of ancestral knowledge, embodied practice, ecological intelligence and art.
We build workshops, public programs, immersive experiences, and cultural partnerships out of living traditions and artistic research.
The work makes space for artists, cultural workers, communities, and organizations to listen more deeply, create with more intention, and relate to the body, the earth, ancestral memory, and each other with more reciprocity.

Each program pairs intellectual inquiry with sensory, somatic, or creative practice — ideas encountered through the mind and the body at once.

Re-Earthing Sessions
Intimate, place-based journeys rooted in field study, creative practice, ritual, and embodied inquiry.
These gatherings are for dreamers, makers, and those returning to their own knowing . Part research gathering, part inner exploration, each pilgrimage brings a small group to encounter a place slowly, listening to its histories, ecologies, and forms of knowledge while opening new ways of sensing, creating, and relating together.

Iman Dayo Person is an artist, cultural anthropologist, and Creative Somatic Director working at the intersection of land, memory, and sensory experience.
Her practice explores the body as archive and the environment as a living intelligence. Drawing from ancestral somatics, eco-somatic practices, sound, and scent, she designs experiences that invite participants into states of deep listening, regulation, and remembrance.
Her work moves across contexts.
